Be Stronger Than Your Excuses

Scripture Reference: Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens

me.”

Excuses are subtle thieves. They rob us of progress, influence, and credibility. In leadership,

excuses often sound reasonable — “I don’t have enough time,” “I don’t have the right

resources,” or “I’m not ready yet.” But excuses are rarely about circumstances; they are about perspective.

When Moses stood before God at the burning bush, he offered excuses: “I’m not eloquent,”

“They won’t listen to me.” Yet God’s response was simple: “I will be with you.” Excuses reveal where we lack trust in God’s sufficiency.

Marketplace Application:

 Excuses erode trust. A leader who consistently makes excuses loses credibility with their

team.

 Excuses block innovation. When you say “we can’t,” you close the door to creative

solutions.

 Excuses limit Kingdom impact. God calls us to be salt and light, not to shrink back.

Katalyst Challenge: Identify one area where you’ve been making excuses. Replace it with a

faith-filled action step this week.
